Cara-cara Untuk Sambung Belajar (Master) di Luar Negara
Sebenarnya tidak lah susah.. Tapi for those yang tak tau caranya mungkin akan fikir yang benda ni leceh just like me. ;-) Berkat semangat yang my aunty bagi, I decided to try. Walaupun dah ada kerjaya yang stabil, impian nak sambung blajar di luar negara tu membuak-buak sebab most of my friends graduated from overseas universities. Orang ckp tak cuba, tak tau kan..
So, check these out!
1) Choose a course / major that you want to further study - Coursework / Research
If you are not sure which course that you would want to study, just browse the Internet and select a course that related to your undergrad. You have to choose wheather you want to study either in coursework , or research mode.
2) Choose a country that you wish to study
Many of us yang tak tau macam mana nak start cari university. So, apa yang perlu anda buat firstly ialah pilih negara yang anda nak further study. For example, I chose UK.. Bukan Ulu Kelang , Ok. Tapi United Kingdom.hehe
3) Decide Universities in the chosen country
Now, this is quite tactical. You cannot simply choose any Universities that you want if you want to be sponsored. You may, if you are self-sponsored.
So to those who are seeking for sponsorship, choose within Top 50 universities. Normally we will apply to 3-5 different universities. You may check their rank at www.timeshighereducation.co.uk / www.arwu.org / www.topuniversities.com.
4) Provide all documents needed for online application
Each university normally needs following documents:
- 2 reference letters - use letter-head of the institution / company
- Personal Statement
- Degree Cert - must be in english version and certified
- Degree Transcript - must be in english version and certified
- Resume
- IELTS / GCE-O (applicable utk UK)
5) Once all of the documents are ready, you may APPLY
Normally the universities will take 2-3 weeks to process your application. So just check your email after you apply..

Untuk pengetahuan, saya pun baru start tahun ni apply master kat oversea. N saya baru je hantar permohonan untuk medapatkan tajaan MARA. Harap2 saya berjaya la..
Pada mulanya saya sendri teragak2 nak apply. Tapi bila tgk overseas graduate lebih marketable, terus saya apply. Lagi2 bile skrg saya sedang bekerja, terasa rindu pulak nak sambung belajar. Apa yang saya nampak di alam pekerjaan ni, graduan dari luar negara lebih laku dan diperlukan terutama sebab english.
Kalau nak ikutkan, my english is average. superb tu tidak la. tp tujuan utama saya nak ke sana pun salah satu nye juga nak improve my language. kalau kat sini, org sume nak ckp bahasa melayu je. bila speaking sikit, dh org kata berlagak. kalau kat sana, you like it or not, u have to. n saya percaya, bile dalam keadaan tu, of course kite pun terpaksa berbahasa inggeris.
Jadi, pe yang saya boleh nasihat kan, selagi kita tak cuba, kita tak tau. Kalau Allah dah tetapkan rezeki kita di sana, macam mana susah pun kita tetap akan ke sana. Sekurang-kurangnya dengan mencuba, kita dah bole tau setakat mana kemampuan kita.

If you want to further your degree at overseas (United Kingdom), you have to apply via UCAS website. If I'm not mistaken, you can choose up to 5 universities.

ReplyDeleteIly, kalau nak dptkan biasiswa, kene dapat CGPA 3.3 ke atas (untuk kursus teknikal macam engineering, matematik, dan sains) or 3.5 and above (untuk kursus bukan teknikal macam Business, Art, Psychology). Tapi syarat ni untuk MARA la.
DeleteKalau biasiswa lain rasanya kene dapat 1st class.
Tapi kalau nak bayar sendiri, selagi memenuhi kriteria pihak Universiti, in sha Allah dapat..
assalamualaikum. saya student tahun akhir islamic banking di uitm. i wish to further my master in architecture instead sebab saya banking is not my passion (i prefer course yang lebih technical and i thought banking was about calculation and math but yeah i was totally wrong and i think i have lost interest on this field) and since my family pun rata rata dari bidang architecture jugak. you can tell that i actually didnt do well for the past 4 semesters tho my current cgpa is 3.4 only. i still have 2 more semesters and i dont think i can achieve 3.5 within these 2 semesters since the min requirement utk non technical student must be above 3.5 kan? help me. i feel super dissapointed with my self right now tho i really wish to further my study at oversea sangat2. especially dalam bidang architecture. tell me what can i really do at this time? :(

DeleteIn shaa Allah boleh tu nak naik kan CGPA to 3.5. Tak jauh dah tu. Sebab kalau nak patah balik pun, rugi la dah habiskan 4 sem kat Islamic Banking.
One of my friends, he studied in Law for his degree (UIA), and Master in Islamic Finance (University of Durham). He just graduated, and alhamdulillah he was offered to work in middle east. Yang penting, dapat good results utk degree dulu which I know you can! Kadang2 rezeki kite tak tau..If you really want to study in Architecture, go ahead, but my advice, finish what you have started. Unless if you can't perform, then it's different.
Jgn putus asa lagi. sebab saya dulu pun nak ikutkan nak fly masa degree tapi takde rezeki, walaupun pernah ditawarkan verbally utk sambung in Maths. Since kononnya tak nak jadi cikgu MRSM, so saya reject offer tu masa interview. De jugak rasa menyesal, tpi bila difikirkan balik, mungkin rezeki kite belum sampai lagi utk ke oversea time tu..
So, apa-apa pun, buat yang terbaik, and percaya kepada ketentuan-Nya dan jangan berhenti berdoa. Sebenarnya, tanpa disedari, saya pun tak pernah berhenti untuk berdoa supaya dapat sambung belajar di oversea seperti rakan2 yang lain.. ;-)

Tapi rasanya kene beberapa tahun berkhidmat baru pihak kerajan lepaskan untuk cuti belajar tanpa gaji.

DeleteReference letter tu kene dapatkan daripada lecturer kita masa degree dulu. Kalau Ekin dah bekerja, boleh juga kalau nak supervisor kita sebagai salah seorang referee kita. Format reference letter tu boleh check kat website uni masa apply sebab kadang2 Uni dah provide template untuk kita.
About the IELTS, boleh apply Uni dulu before amik Ielts. If we satisfy all the Uni requirement, kita akan dapat conditional letter from the Uni. Time tu baru nak buat Ielts pun boleh jugak. Bila dah dapat Ielts, barulah kita akan dapat Unconditional Offer Letter from Uni. In my case, I didn't take IELTS to satisfy the English requirement. Just hantar sijil GCEO je cz masa SPM de amik. So jimat lah duit. hehe..
Salam.. akak, saya habis degree around Jun '14. Then start practical sampai Ogos '14. Boleh ke kalau saya apply master untuk intake Sept '14 walaupun transkrip maybe tak sempat nak keluar? Sbb based on past experience, full transkrip U saya maybe kuar awal oct.. Mcm mne ye? or saya patut apply untuk intake Sept '15?
ReplyDeleteBiasanya kalau nak apply, diorg nak tgk transkrip kita. So, advisable kalau Syahirah apply Jan'14 (cuba cek kalau ada ke tak intake ni) or Sep'14..

DeleteSebelum tu, nak tanya deposit tu utk pe? Accommodation or tuition fees? Memang de stgh Uni yang mintak bayaran. Selagi takde dateline nak bayar, buat tak tau je. Sbb biasanya yang tu utk secure accommodation. Kalau nak duduk hostel la.. So baca balik die mintak deposit utk pe.
Nak lagi senang, apply Uni yang takde bayaran.hehe..
Last time, I buat tak tau je pasal bayaran tu. Sbb time apply tu kalau tak dapat MARA, memang tak sambung belaja kat oversea ni. ;-)

ReplyDeleteTime yang I apply MARA tu, I apply Uni dulu. sebab senang and dapat MARA utamakan dulu. Sebab masa hantar dokumen stage pertama, pegawai MARA tu siap asingkan lagi siapa yang dah dapat tawaran and yang belum dapat tawaran.
Deletenadia, masa stage pertama tu bila? after buat application and print out slip, kita kena hantar ke slip tu together with our certificates and offer letter? sbb saya takde hantar pun lepas buat application tu.
Delete1st stage tu tak ingt la. tp rasanya after 1 month dateline application kot. tak payah hantar slip. diorg akan filter your application dulu. then if you are qualified, then they will call you for the assessment test. time tu baru hantar certificates sume.

Wsalam. oh I pun pakai GCE-O. but better confirm with your school whether they can accept your GCE-O as their english requirement or not. because some schools especially Business School, they require you to take the IELTS.

ReplyDeleteSaya Neesa, pelajar Civil Engineering thn akhir dari Uni Tek Petronas, Perak. InsyaAllah saya akn hbis belajar Sept 2015 dan graduate Oct 2015. Keinginan utk sambung di UK or US. Tapi since saya habis belajar Sept 15, so cam tak sempat kan, sbb intake di UK US bulan Sept ? Ada nasihat or cadangan ?
Soalan saya:
1. If saya apply Univ di Australia sekarang untuk intake March 2016 (kalau tak silap), sempat ke nak dapatkan unconditional letter dari Uni tersebut? since saya akn grad bulan Sept 15.
Point saya adalah, nak dptkan dokumen rasmi (cth: result) lambat sikit nnti, dlm bulan 10 cmtu baru boleh. nnti ada mslh tak dgn MARA agak2 ? (utk dapatkan agreement semua)
2. Ada tak Uni di Europe yg ada intake utk awal tahun? cth bulan Jan or Feb or March ? Yang saya dapat cari dri Google, univ di negara Australia je.
Mohon penerangan sejelasnya.

Bukanlah sy nk takut2 kan tp realitinya ada a few students Malaysia yg tak dpt master pun. So kne betul2 ready baru la pegi.

ReplyDeleteWsalam.. Sorry reply lambat sgt. Kalau lepasan spm tak pasti pulak. Biasanya akan de tawaran biasiswa kat akhbar2. So time tu bole la mohon biasiswa dulu.

Utk makluman cgpa sy tak sampai 3.0, so sy tak rase boleh dapatkan scholarship drpd mana2 agensi...mohon pandangan, ada tak mana2 universiti yg bleh recomend dlm field technical sy dan cost yuran yg affordable kerana sy akan membiayai semua cost mengunakan wang saving sendiri..tqvm

assalam sis minta tunjuk ajar... skrng tgh pening nak cari uni at uk, Sy majoring in banking & finance , so plan nak apply master in same programe, any suggestion top uni yg offer banking?. and at least berapa bulan awl kena prepare from start until apply scholar or loan? sis apply mara loan right? berapa bulan awl kena apply loan tu? can we apply university first without IELTS? serious... need help.. tq sis.. DeleteSy tk pasti mne better tapi depends la. Kalau awak minat research n dah tau nak buat topic apa, bole amik research.
2) rsanya masa sem last pas habis exam tu bole la start apply kot. Sy apply dlu lepas sy kje 3 tahun bru smbung master
3) skrg ni utk mara, dh takde dah byr 20% mcm dulu. Skrg diorg dh joint dgn bank. Mara cuma jadi pengantara je. Kira kena byr 100% la jugak klu tak silap. Cuba cek dgn mara pasal ni.
4) klu tak silap, jpa mmg kne dpt 1st class
Tentang kos awal2 tu, sy beli tiket flight, sewa bilik kat sana sebulan n sara hidup sebulan. Sebab time tu mara bg duit after 3 weeks admission.
