FINALLY, I'm a Master's Degree holder!

Image
Sekian. Footnote: Maaflah ya tiba-tiba post ni se...

A day trip to North Wales - Snowdon Mountain Railway, Swallow Falls and Betws-y-coed (22/9/2013)

Image
We went there by bus under Manchester International Society. There were several places we visited including Snowdon Mountain Railway, Swallow Falls and Betws-y-coed. It was really fun with breathtaking view, and beautiful scenery, suitable for those who really enjoy the nature. 1) Swallow Falls Swallow Fall's is one of Snowdonia's most visited sights. Rising among the towering peaks of Carnedd Llewellyn the River Llugwy runs eastward towards Capel Curig and Betws-y-Coed, before reaching Swallow falls, which has long been one of the most visited beauty spots in the area. It is the highest continuous waterfall in Wales. The falls are set on the River Llugwy two miles west of Betws-y-Coed along the A5 to Capel Curig, in the beautiful Gwydir Forest. Welcome to Swallow Falls The waterfall makes me wanna dive in.. 2) Snowdon Mountain Railway Snowdon Mountain Railway will take you on a journey of a lifetime to the rooftop of Wales. Snowdon, at 3,560ft dominates th...

Interview PTD M41 @ Putrajaya pada 17 Disember 2013

Cuak nya nak kene interview. Aku balik Malaysia just for this interview. Macam tak percaya je. Tapi disebabkan my parents pun bagi galakan untuk pergi, so aku pun cuba lah. Kalau tak, dah pergi Spain / Portugal dah with my friends. Maklumlah cuti Krismas kan lama. Tapi takpelah. Bagi aku, restu mak tu kan penting.. ;-) Actually untuk interview ni, aku dah postpone 2 kali. 1st, SPA panggil untuk datang pada bulan Oktober but since aku baru je mulakan pengajian kat UK, macam mana nak balik kan. So aku pun buat surat rasmi bgtau tak dpt dtg and mintak tangguh. Kemuadian, SPA masukkan nama aku dalam slot bulan November. Tu pun aku tak dapat nak pergi gak sebab ada kelas. Sekali lagi aku mintak tangguh. Alhamdulillah, SPA masukkan nama aku pada bulan Disember. Nasib baik ngam2 time tu Winter break. Boleh la aku cuba nasib.. So, for this interview, I have read all things bout Malaysia and current issues, prepared all the documents (sijil2, resume), and siapkan mental supaya tak gelab...

Top 10 Malaysian Food I'm Craving For in UK

Image
#1 - Mom's Home-Cook No one can beat this. Everything that she cooks especially Malay cuisine tastes wonderful, including 1) Masak Lemak Cili Api 2) Ayam Masak Merah 3) Sotong Masak Hitam 4) Nasi Minyak 5) Nasi Ayam 6) Nasi goreng 7) Bihun goreng I know that I can list down many more but I think wouldn't fit in 1 page. Lol! Ketam Masak Lemak Cili Api #2 - IKEA Meatball We also have this in UK but it's non-halal. So every time I visit IKEA (UK), I will go to its food court just to get the smell of the meatballs. How I wish I could eat them. So tempted. #3 - Banana Leaf (Nirwana Maju Bangsar) It's hard to find an Indian Restaurant that serves their food on a banana leaf here. I will definitely pay a visit if I were to go back to Malaysia even if I had to wait in a long queue. #4 - Mamak Stall How I wish to "lepak" in Mamak having a glass of hot milk tea which we call it as "teh tarik", not forgotten  "roti canai...

10 September 2013 - Arriving at Manchester

Image
Dah lama betul tak update blog. Sibuk nak menguruskan hal Tajaan dan Visa. Kebetulan musim raya pulak. Memang 30kg cukup2 lah. Ini lah Universiti yang saya apply. Akhirnya, tercapai jugak impian nak belajar oversea dan The University of Manchester menjadi pilihan. The University of Manchester Registration University Nak tengok tak rumah sewa kami? Kami sewa rumah ni bertiga. Ada 3 bilik. Sewa 1 rumah = £800. So, pandai-pandai lah bahagi. So far, puas hati jugak la. Cuma biasalah, awal-awal masuk rumah mesti ada kekurangan sikit-sikit, tapi nasib ba...

Taught VS Research Master

I know some of you might want to consider to further Master's degree, but still not sure which one you would want to choose. Taught > well said, people will relate this word with classroom  Research > make own research, do thesis.. Below is a brief explanation that might help you to choose between Taught and Research Master.. Taken off of:  http://www.postgraduatestudentships.co.uk Masters by Research Masters by research are generally MRes programmes, but you will also find other specifically research related masters, for example MSc by Research. These types of courses include both research methods training in the relevant discipline and generally a substantial research project. They are valuable, and sometimes necessary if you are planning to progress to a PhD: in some disciplines, particularly in arts, humanities and social sciences, it is expected or required that you will complete a master's level programme with a substantial research element before ...
